Family Visit

Last week mom and Maggie were in town for a "staycation" for Spring Break. Those crazy spring breakers...

Rapunzel

Its so weird that I have a child that was born with more hair than I have ever had! She's like the chick from Tangled. But I do have alot of fun with it...

Velcro Hedgehogs

I found a few bargain books the other day. One came with a DVD with real babies (which Grace LOVES to wave and say Hi to) and animated animals and pictures with classical music. I put it on when I have to get dinner ready and the only thing she wants is to be held. I'm trying not to use the tv as a babysitter, but sometimes its SO effective!
The other is a touchy feely book, "Have you ever tickled a tiger?" It has a velcro hedgehog in it that she scratches for EVER. Note to self: chuck all toys and buy an industrial sized roll of velcro.

Just chillin'

I often find Gracie just lounging on her back reading a book. Sometimes she props her feet up agains the couch. She'll spend a good half hour, a couple times a day, reading through her books, turning pages and gabbing to herself.

A new favorite

Grace has loved books for several months now: her first favorite was a plastic bathtime book called "Mimi's Toes". Next was a book that my mom had for my two little sisters about 20 years ago, "Babies". Then it was a touch and feel book about Colors; and this last week she discovered 'lift the flap' magic! She absolutely loves "Where's Baby's Bellybutton?" She was squealing and gasping and dropping her jaw at every page, much to the amusement of mom and dad.

Only a Month late...

I know, I know, Valentine's Day was a month ago and you've all moved on to the next holiday... but I was so proud of my heart shaped peppers and pizza... Ben loved them!

I came across this photo while I was looking for stickers for some Primary invitations. This is one of my best friends, Amy, and I, taken while we were in high school together at Pittsford Mendon High, NY. It brought back so many memories! Remember eating lunch in the Commons? Can you believe that was half our lifetime ago, Amy??

I don't feel too young to say "Ah, youth".
